Edward J. Kiernan Memorial Scholarship
The International Union of Police, AFL-CIO will award scholarships to ten graduating high school seniors who intend on pursuing a career in law enforcement, labor relations or a related field. The scholarship will be a $2,500.00 one-time award.
To be eligible, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A high school graduating senior with a B average or higher.
- The parent or guardian must be a member of a union affiliated with the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO. Children of retired members considered only if those members are per capita paying members in good standing.
- Accepted in a course of study in law enforcement, labor relations or a related field at an accredited university or college.

- A letter of recommendation by a teacher/counselor from the applicant’s school.
- An official transcript and SAT scores.
